European Grant
HEPHAISTOS-Pharma obtained a European Grant for its development program of immuno-stimulators.
The Inno-Boost-LPS project aims to develop innovative immuno-stimulators, based on natural Lipopolysaccharides (LPS) derivatives, to boost the efficacy of vaccines and immuno-therapies both in the fields of cancer and infectious diseases. The overall objective of this project is to bring these immuno-stimulators to the doorstep of the clinics, thus enabling to transform the international expertise of an SME and University of Paris Sud’s know-how into an innovative industrial project.
The project will address the large-scale production of our products, and their relevance as new generation of vaccine adjuvant adapted for the elderly or immunocompromised people, and enabling to improve vaccine coverage for some infectious diseases such as pertussis or hepatitis B. The project will also address the capacity of these LPS derivatives to potentiate the effect of monoclonal antibodies used in cancer immunotherapies, by turning cold tumors hot, and their relevance as stand-alone treatment for rare and difficult-to-treat cancers where there is a high degree of unmet need.
The rare and innovative know-how generated will participate in scientific outreach and employment in the Ile-de-France region, with an activity turned strongly toward export and innovation, and will have a significant impact on global health, both at the individual and the public health levels.
